Scott Wallace Awarded the President’s Associates Graduate Teaching Excellence Award

The Value Institute is excited to share that our Managing Director and Associate Professor Scott Wallace has been awarded the President’s Associates Graduate Teaching Excellence Award for the 2022-2023 academic year by UT-Austin President Jay Hartzell. Scott was recognized for “exceptional graduate teaching and innovation.” President Hartzell noted that the selection committee was particularly inspired by Scott’s “commitment to teaching” and his “dedication to [his] students.” Scott was recognized for teaching in the Master of Science in Health Care Transformation program, which he created together with Value Institute Assistant Professor Alice Andrews. This University-level award recognizes educational innovators whose commitment and performance not only teach but inspire graduate student learners.

At UT, Prof. Wallace leverages his business, health care IT, and health policy background to work with students, employers, health care leaders, and other stakeholders to transform health care delivery in the U.S. and around the world. He has been awarded the Dell Medical School Excellence in Teaching Award and was the Dell Medical School Dean’s 2021 nominee for the President’s Associates Teaching Excellence Award.
